MembersZoltán Majó, member of the Baroque Ensemble Transylvania, has studied at Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj, specializing in flute, but his interest turned toward Early Music and Recorder. In this field he attended masterclasses in Budapest, Sopron (Hungary) and Thun (Switzerland) with Sabine and Tuomas Kaipainen (Switzerland) and Anneke Boeke (Holland). As a tiredless promotor of the autochton early music movement, he is founder of several early- amd baroque ensembles over the years, with whom he made several recordings on historic instruments. He also made several transcriptions from old autohton musical manuscripts. At the present time he teaches Recorder at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy, the Augustin Bena Music School and the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj. Mária Szabó graduated at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj, specializing in Recorder and Music Teaching Currently she teaches recorder. She attended masterclasses in Budapest with Peter Holtslag, Karsruhe (Germany) with Marion Verbruggen, Thun (Switzerland) with Sabine and Tuomas Kaipainen and Krieglach (Austria) with Michael Oman. She is the artistic director of Ensemble Passamezzo in Cluj. Her interest in autochton and european early music is shown in many scientifical studies as well as awards: she won the 1st Prize and was awarded with the Pro Arte Gold Medal of the Hungarian Scientific Students Association. Ágnes Tóth has graduated at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj, specializing also in Music and Recorder Teaching. She is working as a teacher. She attended masterclasses in Krieglach (Austria) with Michael Oman. Mihaela Maxim is a permanent guest of the Ensemble. She is a soprano-soloist of the Romanian State Opera in Cluj. She graduated at the Gh. Dima Music Academy in Cluj and participated at several masterclasses with Lucia St�nescu, Corneliu Murgu and Mariana Nicolesco. She was awarded at several national and international singing competitions. Due to her interest in early music she often collaborates with the Ensemble Flauto Dolce and Baroque Ensemble Transylvania. |
