Picture of the members The Ensemble Flauto Dolce was founded in 2000 in Cluj, Romania by Zoltán Majó, in the idea of making the family of the instrument Recorder and it's repertoire as well-known as possible in Romania. Here Recorder is well known round children and folk music, but there are rarely made known it's technical and expressive abilities. This is the main goal of this ensemble: to present early- and modern works of different Recorder-settings. This means works from the Renaissance, Baroque, Rokoko and music from the contemporary time. On the other hand the ensemble is also trying to reveal early Transylvanian music from different old manuscripts and to present them to the public. From time to time the ensemble collaborates with other artists, like Adrian Pintea (actor), Mihaela Maxim, Ana-Maria Covrig and Theodora Gheorghiu (sopranos), Ilse L. Herbert (viola da gamba), Erich Türk (harpsichord), Melinda Béres (violin) and István Nagy (baroque flute), Historical Ensemble Passamezzo from Cluj and Musica Historica Ensemble from Budapest.
